GreenIron – appointed as one of Sweden’s most prominent, innovation and young technology companies
Today is a big day for us, when it is now official that GreenIron is on the Swedish magazine Ny Teknik’s prestigious “33 list”. A compilation the magazine has presented every year since 2008 and a proof of that we are one of Sweden’s most prominent, innovative and upcoming technology companies. We are also in reputable and pioneering company. Over the years companies like Northvolt, Einride, iZettle, Spotify, Truecaller have been represented on the list.
For us at GreenIron, it feels extra honorable to receive this recognition, as this year there was a great focus on the companies’ operations contributing to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. The 17 global goals are the guiding star of our business model and we fulfill no less than five of them.
Our energy-efficient, 100 percent carbon dioxide-free and hydrogen-based technology is completely unique in its kind: we can recycle residues, waste and other metal oxides into pure metals and steel, and process iron ore into pure iron. The attention we are now receiving gives us additional energy to help replace the flow of metals from the mine to the landfill by a cycle. And that the historically deep-rooted, linear logic of the manufacturing and producing industry paves the way for circular, CO2-free business models.
