GreenIron in Canada /Americas

Since 2024, GreenIron has had a subsidiary in Canada /Toronto as part of our international expansion and commitment to fossil-free metal production. Ahead of launching our operations in the region, our Canadian subsidiary is focused on managing administrative and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance, and creating the right conditions for a successful establishment.

Canada is a strategically important market for us, offering significant opportunities in sustainable metal production and the green transition. Our presence here strengthens our global footprint and contributes to a more circular and fossil-free future for the industry.

Engagement and Collaborations in Canada

For several years, GreenIron has actively participated in Swedish delegations organised by Business Sweden and Vinnova, facilitating knowledge exchange and networking within the mining and metals industry.

In autumn 2024, our CEO, Edward Murray, took part in Sweden Canada Innovation Days 2024, which focused on “Driving the Green Transition”—highlighting the green transformation of the mining and metals industry, key areas where both Sweden and Canada are global leaders.

As part of this initiative, GreenIron, together with Swedish Mining Innovation and Svemin, also visited Sudbury—Canada’s leading hub for mining innovation.

Edward Murray took the opportunity to give Justin Trudeau a CO2-free coin, produced with GreenIron´s technology.
