GreenIron and SECO/WARWICK – A strategic partnership for the future of hydrogen-based metal production
GreenIron is proud to highlight our long-term collaboration with SECO/WARWICK, a global leader in advanced heat-treatment and furnace technologies. Our partnership began in 2020, and following further development of our technology, the parties entered into an agreement in 2023 under which SECO/WARWICK was selected to build GreenIron’s first industrial hydrogen reduction furnace.

Since early 2025, GreenIron’s first hydrogen reduction furnace at the Sandviken production site has been undergoing commissioning, which is now entering its final stage. Once commissioning is complete, the furnace will be formally handed over from SECO/WARWICK to our operations team – a key milestone in GreenIron’s industrial scale-up and in our mission to enable circular, climate-neutral value chains in the steel and mining industries.
Recently, SECO/WARWICK’s CEO Sławomir Woźniak and Chairman Andrzej Zawistowski visited GreenIron. During the visit, they met with our CEO Mathias Tillman, Chair Lotta Lyrå, and Director of Projects Johan Löw to discuss how to further deepen the partnership. This dialogue reflects our joint commitment to building a long-term, value-creating relationship based on transparency, engineering excellence and shared ambitions.
