GreenIron awarded a patent for its carburisation process

In April 2020 GreenIron received a patent from the Swedish Patents and Registration Office regarding a emission free carburisation of pure DRI pellets. This process is an add-on step to GreenIrons patented process to reduce iron oxides to pure DRI pellets. The output from the carburisation process is DRI pellets with a specific carbon content, thus enabling the use of GreeIrons fossil free material as an alternate sourcing for scrap in EAF steel mills, iron and steel foundries. as well as BOF based mills.
