We visit the “EIT RawMaterials Summit 2022” in Berlin

Today, our CEO – Edward Murray – has presented Greeniron at the “EIT RawMaterials Summit 2022” in Berlin. A highly relevant context for us to be seen in, organized by EIT RawMaterials – European Institute of Innovation and Technology.

The way we handle raw materials within the EU today is not sustainable in the long run. As much as 85 percent of the resources consumed in Europe are raw materials imported to manufacture vehicles, electronics, batteries, etc.

We need to find instruments that make the recycling of metals and minerals in Europe more profitable, in order to compete with the extraction that takes place at much lower cost outside Europe.

The more we can recycle the innovation-critical metals within the EU, the better equipped we are for future events. It´s critical that we become more resource and energy efficient in order to achieve the climate goals and thereby create a sustainable and secure future society.
